Winning in gold - Taylor Swift.

At The American Music Awards 2011 Taylor Swift was delighted to be crowned Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Many had expected British singer songwriter Adele to win due to her success this year in the American charts. Taylor was a gold beaded beauty at Sunday’s event in her Reem Acra dress.

 Accessorized to perfection, head to toe - Katy Perry.

Other artists at the 39^th annual award ceremony included Katy Perry. She wore a Vivienne Westwood floor length Japanese print dress which seemed slightly too demure for the fun pop star and a shade too pale but she topped it off with a fantastically modern geometric fascinator that shimmered with metallic pinks and purples.

Sexy in silver - Heidi Klum.

Selena Gomez channelled old Hollywood glamour dressed in a silk Giorgio Armani silk dress. The dark waves of her looked beautiful against the champagne coloured material. Bright as ever was the flamboyant Nicki Minaj who won two awards; favourite rap/hip-hop artist and best rap/hip-hop album for ‘Pink Friday’. She wore a green skirted, laced bodiced Oscar de la Renta gown that was a lovely contrast to her soft pink curls.

London Styling's favourite dress of the evening came in the form of the metallic laser cut wonder that was Giles’ shift dress, worn by Heidi Klum. The casual loose waves of Heidi’s blonde hair and smoky eyes complimented the intricate petal cut out detail of the dress and made this a strong but effortlessly stylish look.
